Timeshare Law UK
NOTE: It is not the intention of the Association to interpret the law nor to replace it with our own. In any dispute the relevant law will apply and we will only act as a forum to air that dispute and help arrive at an acceptable conclusion. Whether or not the aggrieved parties are ultimately liable in law will be a matter for the authorities in the states or countries in which they operate and they will be responsible for the administration of Justice in such cases.
The DTI have produced a leaflet entitled The Timeshare Guide. It is not the law but a government publication as a guide to your rights under the law. Please read it to see if it applies to you and then, if necessary, consult the relative law as hereunder or a solicitor.

This Act has a number of amendments to the 1992 Act.
Timeshare European Directive 9/47/EC [PDF]
"The purpose of this Directive shall be to approximate the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States on the protection of purchasers in respect of certain aspects of contracts relating directly or indirectly to the purchase of the right to use one or more immovable properties on a timeshare basis."
